Job description

The Data Science department is looking for a recent graduate who is interested in pursuing a career as a Data Scientist and who is willing to join our internship program in a remote position. The Data Science department is building analytical tools for decision making, based on patterns in the data that can be observed in graphs and predicted using machine learning algorithms. Training machine learning models is time consuming if done the traditional way. Fortunately, dataset creation, data preparation, and model testing can all be automated to speed up the application of machine learning to the primary goal at hand. These processes can be automated by a recent graduate candidate who wants to get paid to learn while solving real problems in the industry. In the future, the best candidates will be offered a job as a Junior Data Scientist, with the option to join our Xperimental team, whose goal is to conduct experiments and apply artificial intelligence to optimize various processes within Framework Science and for our clients.

Requirements

• Knowledge of python libraries like fitz, re, nltk, spacy.
• Interest in Natural Language Processing (NLP), computer vision and machine learning in general.
• Critical thinking, good analytical skills, logical thinking and good working memory.
• Able to listen and stay focused during conversations and coding.
• Curious and an independent learner.
• Good communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Enthusiastic and willing to grow both professionally and personally.

Objectives

• Develop Python scripts to automate processes related to machine learning.
• Prepare basic prototypes of machine learning models.
• Measure and compare the accuracy of various machine learning models.
• Prepare annotations manually and automatically.
• Compare files.
• Get data from the internet to create datasets to train machine learning models.
• Research on the Internet about AI algorithms and how to apply them to specific tasks.
• Write documents in English.
• Daily task report in JIRA.
  

Must haves

• 2 years of programming experience (e.g. python, C, C++).
• Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering, mechatronics engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics.
• Understanding of statistical concepts.
• Interest in learning python, machine learning, artificial intelligence and statistics.
• Interest in starting a professional career as a data scientist.
• Responsible and punctual.
